Parisian Hotel documents a ten-day road trip from New Jersey to Miami Beach, Florida. Childhood memories of an alien and exotic 1950's Florida intermixed with present-day Miami. Liminal spaces and encounters with strangers, random events, and familiar places became content. While marginal and transitional locations revealed barriers, boundaries, roped barricades, edges, and walls. Buildings are ghost-like, hotel courtyards sometimes mystical. A sense of foreboding lingered in the heat as an uneasy existence presented itself between fragile wetlands, endangered alligators, and never-ending construction sites.
