Walden, 2010

Walden from The Last Book is a single page collaboration from a book project conceived and curated by Luis Camnitzer. The premise of the project explores the question: "Is book-based culture coming to an end?" The Last Book, intended to serve as a time capsule, leaves a document and testament to our time, as well as a stimulus for the possible reactivation of culture in case of disappearance by negligence, catastrophe or conflagration. The Last Book traveled to Museum of the National Library of Madrid, Spain, The Zentralbibliothek Zürich, National Library of Argentina, and Aguilar Branch of the New York Public Library.
